Hi,

For sale is my genuine classic one of the last hand built AMG Mercedes. I usually prefer BMW and Japanese cars but an opportunity came to try out my first Mercedes and I went for it. The car was mainly owned by a business man from 2002 until 2014 when he sold it to his friend who always looked after it when he was away. The car had thousands spent and mechanically feels great. I’m planning to spend a lot more money on my RX7 and classic CRX so the AMG must go as the cheapest on the market well maintained example that needs bodywork sorted.

Engine:
5.5 SOHC V8 with 16 spark plugs and 354bhp as standard! I have tried many cars before but nothing was as brutal as this car. It’s a wolf in sheeps clothing, you will find 90% of Mercedes with fake AMG stickers and diesel engines but this one will surprise the most as it’s the real thing and will cruise wonderfully at any speed and deliver unmatched comfort, but once the throttle is pressed the car shoots off at any rpm achieving 0-60 in around 5sec which is phenomenal for its size and is surely not for the faint hearted. No back box exhaust modification was carried out to enjoy the marvellous V8 music which is barely hearable when cruising but sounds gorgeous once unleashed.
The engine has been always serviced and had brand new spark plugs, oil, throttle position sensor and ECU in the last few years which cost in excess of £2000!

Gearbox:
Super smooth 5 speed automatic that matches the car perfectly. The gears are smooth and precise with no delays or issues.
Suspension/Brakes:
Well balanced AMG suspension that makes the car feel agile for the size yet keeping the great comfort you would expect from a luxury Mercedes. The brakes are huge and keep you safe in any situation.

Brakes were recently replaced so should provide many more worry free miles.

Exterior:
Finished in a rare Black with a shade of green/blue (not the usual plain silver) the car is slick and mainly is given away by the sound, badging on the back and the amazing genuine staggered AMG Monoblock alloy wheels (full size spare wheel included)
Interior:
As you will be spending the most of the time driving the car I can happily say this will satisfy the most gadget addicted owner.

-Two tone (White/Black) AMG leather. The seats are heated+fully electric+memory
-Electric steering column+memory
-Button foldable rear head rests
-Electric/Folding mirrors
-Electric windows
-Exquisite spec sound system with Bose speakers
-Cruise control
-Double climate control
-Glass sunroof
-Front/Rear parking sensors with distance screens
-Bluetooth hands free kit

Faults:
This car is the cheapest on the market that has not travelled to the moon and back, has not been crashed, it just needs an enthusiastic owner to slowly perfect it.

-Will need a full respray as these suffer with rust and a few areas are showing age, passenger side is very faded due to spending a lot of time in the sun while the owner was away. Drivers side fender included in the sale as this one has a hole in the usual rust spot area.
-Heaters seem to work very gently on any settings – common problem on these and will need further attention
-sunroof opens up but does not slide back – would need a good clean/grease up. (NO leaks)


I’ve been very honest in the advert, the pictures were taken 05.08.2017 so the car is as pictured. This is a future classic and a good investment for any AMG fan. I will not entertain silly price offers as this is the cheapest AMG on the market, only very close offers might be accepted. Not very keen on P/X swaps too, would only consider something special (another rx7? :> impreza? Evo? E36 328 with cash my way etc).
