Dont really want to sell this but im spending a fortune on the house and looking to upgrade my daily as well.
Ill cover the engine first. The conversion was carried out by the previous owner and then i made some improvements during my ownership. I cannot confirm some of the work, can only tell u what i was told. The engine was cleaned, painted and had its gaskets replaced. It definitely is very clean with no oil leaks but i cant confirm the gaskets. Its had a new clutch fitted, possibly uprated cos the cover is painted, again i cant be sure. Its got a tubular manifold and quite uniquely, a TD05 twin scroll turbo. I can say the power delivery is excellent compared to a t25. Spools very quickly and pulls to the limiter. It had a 2.5" downpipe when i bought it and i replaced the rest of the system. Its 2.5" from the turbo back now with no cat. It has 2 boxes fitted so its not overly loud, i have videos i can send. I put the battery in the boot so i could move the filter away from the engine and give it some more space. It has a front mount fitted but the routing of one of the boost pipes is controversial. The turbo compressor outlet points down over so the pipe runs under the car to the intercooler. In hindsight when fitting the turbo the previous owner should have rotated the housing so it pointed up over. I can understand why this wasnt done because brackets would of needed to be made for the actuator and oil and coolant pipes. I bought 2 90 degree elbows so i could make a j pipe. I never got round to this because i havent had a single issue with the pipe routing. Ive recently replaced the manifold gasket for a proper one with the steel fire rings. Its fitted with the gearbox from the 820 so has the type b and the longer 5th gear. Cruising at 70 keeps the revs low and delivers excellent mpg. You can easily average over 40mpg on a run.
Suspension wise its on standard shocks with g-max springs. I fitted poly torque steer and bottom arm bushes and filled the engine mounts with polyurethane. This really helps with the torque steer and transformed the car. Its got the usual 282mm brake upgrade on the front. The white 17" straights really need a paint but are fitted with good 215/40 tyres. the fronts have done 100 miles and the rears have about 5mm on them. I have centre caps i just preffer the look without.
Body wise this car is excellent. Its 24 year old and in better condition than cars 1/2 its age. The rear quarters and sills have been repaired so i treated inside with waxoyl and sealed the side trim clips. It has the usual stone chips on the front bumper and minor bubbling on the corner of the spoiler. The only rust is on the front wing, theres a little patch of bubbling under the paint but hasnt broke through yet. Its fully undersealed. It has the usual fading above the windscreen and 2 of the clips for the windscreen side trim need replacing. The side trims have been painted and one side reacted.
The interior is very clean but there is bolster wear. It has a Sony usb stereo and Alpine speakers. The doors have been fitted with sound deadening and it really does make a huge difference to the sound quality. I fitted a boost gauge but used a pretty tatty pod. Never got round to changing it.
I think ive covered everything other than any bad bits.
A cv joint is clicking on full lock and the tracking needs doing. I didnt want to do the tracking before the cv joint.
One of the side trims reacted quite badly to being painted and does look a bit of a mess.
The drivers door doesnt unlock remotely, only from the key. It worked when i got the car but stopped working when i replaced the exterior handle. I have a replacement actuator to go with the car.
Other than the 3 issues mentioned the car is very clean and mechanically sound. I appreciate that this is a converted car but its very clean, rot free and rather unique. I didnt want to buy anything that needed work and waited a long time for a coupe as good as this to come up.
Ive kept the pics on here to a minimum but uploaded an album to the following link.

I would consider a cheap car in part ex that my partner could use. Something like a mk4 golf, mazda 3, etc.
