2007 Seat Leon Cupra 240
For sale is my 2007 Seat Leon Cupra 240
I’ve owned the car a year and it’s been a pleasure to own. When buying this car I viewed 4 others before purchasing. This one has a substantial amount of service history and a few very nice mods, nothing over the top just bits that make the original car even better.
It was previously owned by the owner of VagTech who are a well known vag specialist. It was then owned by another member of staff in VagTech. So you can only imagine it’s been taken care of to the highest standard.
It’s finished in Inferi Black (has a purple flick) the body work is pretty tidy, has a few car park dents and the odd mark here and there as you would expect on a car that’s 13 years old. Both front wings are completely rust free which you don’t see often. It cleans up really well, I’ve had it polished and waxed a few times through the time I’ve had it.
From factory it’s fairly well specced, having the original Multi Function Display cluster. Xenon lights + headlight washers, all of which work as they should. It also benefits from a few tasteful modifications that just make the car that bit better. These are..
18” Team Dynamic Pro Race 1.2 (have the receipt for these for £870)
Audi RS3 4 Pot callipers with 370mm discs.
H&R 30mm lowering springs and Bilstein OE spec shocks. These vastly improve the handling over standard and give it a nice stance.
Milltek non resonated cat back exhaust, lovely for motorway cruising and has a nice tone when on boost.
Ramair oversized Intake.
Forge motorsport diverter valve. This partnered with the intake sound really nice.
It’s also fitted with the Revo SPS Pro. This is a rare bit of kit. It allows you to view multiple parameters such as battery voltage, coolant temp, oil temp, intake temp, boost pressure, and many more.
Also allows you to switch between 4 maps. 3 power maps and the stock map.
Since owning it I’ve not had any issue with the car it’s never given me any problems. In the time I’ve had it I’ve only had to do general servicing.
I’ve changed the cam follower in the last 2k miles as they need changing regularly.
In the last 8k I’ve had the sump cleaned, oil pick up changed, oil + filter and fuel filter. These engine suffer from blocked oil pickups so for my own piece of mind I had it changed.
I had the timing chain done 2 months ago at Midland VW at a cost of £600 as it was the only thing I’ve not got proof for.
Last week it went in for a health check at Midland VW and came back all fine. Compression is even across all cylinders, oil pressure is spot on.
It’s had a cambelt at 95K done by VagTech.
The service history is very good with the car, this being one of the reasons I bought it. From 10K to 110K it’s always been serviced by VagTech. Always serviced twice a year.
Currently it has 129k on it with it last being serviced at last week by Midland VW with genuine parts.
There are no lights on the dash, it drives really well for its miles. Nice and tight no knocks or bangs. It’s a very well maintained example regardless of the mileage. I use it daily so I know full well how good it is. I’m in no rush to sell the car, it’s not caused me any issues and it’s a pleasure to drive, anyone who views will see that.
Few points to note...
Clutch has started slipping very slightly.
Crack in windscreen
