Volkswagen LT31

Description:

LT31 from 1991. Original German Fire Engine imported by myself in 2018. Started to insulate and put a floor and stereo in before the pandemic then lost my job and funds to convert it to a day van.

Bought from Martin Oberschulte in Dortmund with just under 9,000 miles from new.

I drove it around Europe to work and back a few times.

I have all the original paperwork and documents and it’s been serviced by professionals.

It’s a 2.4 6 cylinder petrol sounds amazing.

Overall the body is exceptional having been dry stored all its life before me. The chassis is rust free however there are some small spots of surface rust appearing on the body but nothing substantial that can’t be dealt with easily enough. Other than that it’s mint.

45,000 Kms currently. Not being used so much these days but it does go out every now and then.

I’m looking for cash ideally but might consider a swap. Or part cash part swap.

I’m looking for around 7k.

It’s been really well looked after all it’s life and would make a fantastic day van.

Serviced by man truck specialists in my ownership in the U.K. once at a wrc mechanics workshop in Catalonia.

Recent new original part exhaust down pipe and tyres all round have hardly seen much tarmac.

Sirens and lights working. Had to replace to amber as original got stolen and was unable to replace with blue. I did try and get Bosch replacements online but was unable at the time.
