Mk5 Transit Recovery (Factory)

Mk5 Transit Recovery from factory not a chassis cab conversion etc currently sat as project that is still moted.

Story behind it is took it off the road due to oil leak from sump. Thought ah simple stuff.

Wrong, back nut pig to get so was like ok have all the parts for major service and then some so let's just pull the engine make life easier plus can do any repairs and paint as requires considering I was already committed to painting by now.

Then whilst I'm on and everything is stripped may as well upgrade the seats to 190ts seats x3 all slide recline lovely stuff.

Patched up the necessaries on the inside not with filler either actually welded couple of bits left to do can see all when we chat.

Made adjustment to hand brake to accommodate new seating same plan for the gear stick itself always been a bit funny in my opinion nothing wrong works as designed but always felt awkward to me all mk5s have so with the seat upgrade perfect time as any to modify (not yet undertook)

In amongst and around all the goings on because single handedly trying to put the rear window with rubber in realised instantly was not going to happen without headache and wanted to do something different anyway so changed direction.

Started creating a covered winch area up to bump stops. Which in turn creates a rear sealed parcel shelf as we all know mk5s well most recoverys are limited on space unless you buy specific.(again not complete only just started really but you can see the concepts was going to do so much with this like a transformer truck of sorts)

It is what it is at this stage but very solid truck or i wouldn't have bought it. Needed tlc like all mk5s but by far one of the most honest and i looked at so many and walked away after hours of driving.

Anyway what was meant to be a quick turn around has been sitting idle in between life and like the saying goes life must go on so this is for anyone like me who has a passion for these old girls but has a bit more time to finish to really high standards or can be put back relatively quickly as she sits.

Starts drives(obviously engines currently out) but anyone serious message and will drop you my number and we can have a chat this post is long enough already.
x6 very good if not new commercial tyres box of new parts etc.

Can finish rebuild if right deal if that's what someone's looking at or can take as is with or without the box of new parts.

So there's no confusion she stands me currently at 2k with the box bits and I think that's a bargain when finished shes worth double so many of them being ripped off the road and scrapped is sinful in my eyes.
