Description:
Here for sale is my 2002 Volkswagen Transporter T4 2.5 Tdi (88bhp model) 152,427 miles. 5 previous owners.Painted in a lovely custom blue with a grey bonnet and roof. Lowered on bilstien coilovers but is a very good ride. Has intercooler fitted, straight through exhaust and remapped to around 120bhp (paperwork to prove). Drives and pulls very well. Sits very comfortably at reasonable speed on dual carriageway.
I’ve owned it nearly 2 years and it’s been pretty faultless. Gave it a full service September last year. With new starter motor and coolant pipe @ 145,983.
Water pump and Cambelt done at 136,431 in 2021. Clutch and flywheel done at 122,716.
Stacks of paperwork with previous works carried out.
I bought it as a day van with a crash tested rock n roll bed and have had some great times in it. The van was stripped internally at the beginning of the year as I was planning to re configure with new plywood floor and bed etc that would suit our needs better.
Personal circumstances have changed my initial plans for this van and it’s no longer being used as it should. Van was MOT’d beginning of the year (expiry 22/03/25) failed on headlight not working which was due to a loose wire. Has an advisory for a bit of rust but nothing structural. Standard bubbling around arches and other areas but pretty good for a 22 year old t4.
I went to the van a few weeks ago and the windscreen has a crack in (pictured) so will probably need a new screen for the next MOT. I have recently taken off the Porsche Macan s wheels as I have another use for them and the steelies I have put on will require 1 tyre for next MOT. However the Porsche wheels can be available with the van for added cost. Private reg is also available at added cost. Otherwise will be removed at time of sale.
I have various spare parts for this van including original grill which is in great condition with the vw badge painted purple but have brand new genuine front and rear badges ready to go on. Full set of new door seals. Original headlights and taillights. Another set of smoked led taillights along with smoked rear fog lenses. Several door pulls/handles and window winders most brand new. Brand new leather seat covers and floor mat up front. Door cards were carpeted and suede so I purchased some original door cards that are currently fitted. Previous door cards will be included. (I started to strip one to see if they could be salvaged and redone differently, and with a bit of time and work they could be reused).
It came with a custom dash fitted with double din stereo featuring Apple CarPlay and a reversing camera which will be included. (I reverted back to original dash as I preferred the look of it)
Also came with a leisure battery fitted with a split charge system. Had this checked over and was all correctly fitted.
When I purchased the van I had a CAT 1 alarm/immobiliser (certificated) as well as central locking all professionally fitted at a cost of £1500.
Whenever I have driven the van it just brings smiles all round and I will be sad to see it go. But it’s better off going to a home that will will use it and love it for years to come. I wish I could keep it but I have a car for family use and caddy for work use so it just needs to go.
I’ve probably missed out loads!
Feel free to ask any questions and more than welcome to come and view.
Van is currently in Plymouth and is sorned as I needed it off the insurance.
Prices seem to be all over the place for these vans given the wide variety of uses they have, however this will make a great blank canvas for someone to either convert to a camper/day van or continue to use it as a window van with loads of space in the back.
£6,500 with Porsche wheels and T400 TWW reg.
£6,000 with wheels OR reg.
£5,500 without wheels or reg.
Without any of the spare parts I have included then obviously price would reflect that but I suppose that’s down to a discussion.
Equally open to sensible offers (especially considering it’s likely to need a new screen for MOT), but at least come and view before making offers.
