Here we have for sale a very useable RS1600i finished in Sunburst Red.
Now I bought this car for personal use and it has not let me down it has a fresh 12 months mot. The car has 7 Owners and comes with various bills and receipts.
Exterior wise she is a good solid shell and still wears here original panels including front wings with date stamps present. For a car of this age she has held up fairly well, she is by no means a show car but a good useable classic car. It has a bit of rust appearing on the drivers side rear arch but apart from that the car is solid. The paint is in good condition for it's age and does not look to bad cleaned up.
Underside is in good solid condition, sills are good as well as the floor with floor numbers present.
Interior wise she is in OK condition, the dash has a few cracks but its not to bad. Seats are in good condition as well as the rear bench it does have a passenger seat fitted to the drivers side due to previous wear to the drivers seat. Roof lining is good, everything works as it should from heaters to lights etc.
Now engine wise the original RS1600i motor has been replaced by the previous owner for a RS turbo lump running 200bhp. The car does drive really well and has a lot of power to boot, it is lowered on KONI suspension and holds the road really well. It is still very surprising how quick this car is especially being 30 years old.
Overall what we have here is a nice useable summer classic that can be enjoyed as she is.
