Description:
Welcome to my surprisingly efficient VW Sharan.
I bought this vehicle purely to help out someone who could not afford the transfer fees to Portugese registration (they wanted 3,500 euros)
(truth, my wife saw the built in kids seats and told me to buy it).
I didn't have that problem as we holiday in Europe and permanently live in the U.K.so I didn't have to.
This was a back up until now as we are going back to Australia, over that period it proved to be one of the most solid reliable vehicles I have ever owned.
I have used this vehicle over the past 2 years and it runs like a diesel train, never letting me down, very efficient and it has been thoroughly checked over due to the distances travelled with my children in Europe.
It has been garaged at the end of 2015 (hence no MOT for that year) and now that we have decided to make this the last European summer here for the next 2 year period.
I have had it strictly MOTed in Portugal and the U.K. last week, changing the fan belt (precautionary), and front suspension rubbers including wishbone exchanging.
It runs great, no outside wearing sounds (rubbers are good for another 7 years), no smoke, no signs of a lack of power and pulls my trailers with ease.
Good point summary:
The most versatile 7 seater to clean and use as a multi van (all seats click out in less than 10 minutes)
11 month U.K. MOT
Cheap low tax insurance group
55+ MPG
Built in factory kid seats, multiple choices in sitting arrangements
German quality that out ways the SEAT and Ford versions by a long way
Tinted windows
Air Conditioning (needs a re-gas as I never needed it in the U.K., last re-gas 2014)
Body is completely straight, no signs of any accident, small sign of rust only (due to salty roads, age)
Bad Point summary:
Right rear door skirting rubber was loose, I pulled it off and kept it aside (as seen on the photo)
Plastic interior parts are showing signs of wear
I am not a car salesman and I will answer questions as honestly as possible.
