The rear of the guitar is inlaid with genuine Abalone and the centre join strip is maple
There are 1000's of pieces of abalone that decorate this beautiful guitar
and dur to the age of the woods used in the construction of this new guitar that vintage tone is already there and because the guitar is made from all solid timbers its tone will only improve over time.
This guitar is better built than a martin D45 Brazilian and the woods used are far higher quality
Many companies claime to use Abalone in their inlay work but in truth most are just using "Plastic Abalone"
This is because Abalone is very brittle and extraordinarily difficult to work with. When cutting and shaping more ends up in the waste bin than on the guitar. It also take a lot of dedication and time to inlay Abalone most pieces used in the binding on this guitar are 3mm to 5mm (so miniscule) and each piece is cut to size and then glued into place. When it is all done it then has to be leveled back to the wood of the guitar.
and Time is money (except that this guitar took a LOT of time to make)
and the materials cost a LOT as well so there is only a tiny profit in this guitar. The price SHOULD be in the region of £5000 (which is what you would pay for a Factory made guitar of this sort of standard) But this is HAND made in the UK so really should be more than that.
BUT NO WAIT LOOK AT THE PRICE £2000 for CASH (NO OFFERS)
or trades to £2500 only interested in other quality guitars Gibson/USA Gretsh/PRS/etc etc
PX/swp for High end Watch (will have any watch checked by jeweler first before deal to ensure its genuine as I am aware there a re a lot of good fakes out there)
