Demountable camper PROJECT
Location: South West England - bideford
Swap Value: 1 penny
Description:
So this my demountable camper project, when I got it the camper was taking in lots of water and totally rotten so I stripped it out and began rebuilding it, selling due to requiring the space back. The camper needs finishing but the hard work has been done.
I have lots of photos documenting the work and I'm more than happy for people to come and take a look to really see what needs doing but a rough list of what has been done is as follows....
All of the wooden structural frame has been replaced.
Fully insulated with Cellotex.
Plywood lined and partially carpeted inside.
New wiring for lighting etc in place.
New pipework for gas cooker and fridge in place.
Gas safety valves.
Ceiling down lighters and switches in place.
Replacement roof vent/sky light fitted.
Outside wrapped in fibreglass and painted (this is over the original aluminium skin, now very strong and waterproof).
Painted grey/silver.
High level running lights, indicators and brake lights in place and wired to a tow hitch plug.
Jacking leg areas have been reinforced.
240v hook up socket in place.
Parts included in sale....
Gas hot water boiler (brand new in box).
Twin gas burner and grill.
Small gas/12v fridge (untested but believed to be working)
Cassette toilet.
Corner sink unit.
Carpet to finish trimming inside (may even have some spray glue)
Heavy duty non slip flooring.
Original windows.
Original cushions.
Water pipe.
Original jacking legs.
4 new jacking legs (one has been lengthened to fit and the other 3 will require doing).
Consumer unit for 240v hook up.
Laminated work top board.
Lots of other small fittings and parts that I've probably forgotten!
I've probably forgotten loads so feel free to ask questions or come and take a look, the photos are a bit rubbish as it is in a barn! I can help the new owner to load it onto a vehicle/trailer upon collection. Located just outside Bideford.
The bottom line is that it's not pretty but it is strong, it is watertight, most of the bits are there to finish and with a bit of work you can have a decent camping unit for your truck!
Will consider a swap for just about anything, may even be able help with delivery.
