Mazda mx5 eunos - Fast road / track

Description:

New to this site - But here we have my 1991 Mazda mx5 (eunos roadster) for swaps.

I have owned this car for 2 years, the V5 is present in my name and I will not swap unless the possible swap has all registration doucments.

I bought it as a bog standard roadster bar the wheels and turned it into the fast road car what it stands as now.

-Panasport ultralite alloy wheels (very light) These are a rare jdm wheel, marked up 'for race purpose only' however they pass MOT every year FINE. recently fitted with 4 part worn tyres - all excellent tread.

- Tanabe limit AX exhaust manifold

-Custom length de-cat

-Standard centre section with custom back box, I made this backbox years ago and after having a car make corn* (very rare jdm system) fitted to the car I was un-impressed, this is one of the nicest sounded stock NA's i've ever heard.

- TR lane GPD roll bar

- Corbeau fixed bucket (tatty but suits the car!)

- JB fab seat mount

- Momo suede Wheel

- Gab strut brace

- Bilstein shocks with Eibach -30mm springs

- Mk2.5 hardtop

Probably a few bits I have forgotten about!

Now a bit about the car..!

It has been resprayed (i'm guessing whist still in Japan) In what really is a gorgeous dark green/bronze colour. This however has proven very difficult to get a colour match for!
I painted the roof - which is a very close match, however when I repaired the sills the match was not quite as close.
The car is in 'used' condition bodywork wise, It's never bothered me as it's done what it's supposed to - put a smile on my face without having to worry about stonechips and the odd scuff here and there!

My neighbour has reversed into the bumper + wing ( see photo's) I did replace the wing with a faded red one and have only just got around to giving it a quick blow over, the match is terrible as you can see but with the correct shade of hyundai which the roof is painted in and finished with lacquer it won't look bad at all.

It has one OEM mirror + one aftermarket, I took some parts off my friend who was breaking an eunos but couldn't get the O/S mirror off!

The sills were repaired for the last MOT - these are solid and will cause no issues - however there is some rust creeping further up the arch on the O/S now (see photo's) It is however VERY clean underneath, It hasn't been undersealed and shows only minor surface corrosion. Any inspection is welcome.

It's just had a full service at 227k's with;

Engine oil
Oil filter
HT leads
Coolant change
Diff oil change

I've serviced it every 4-5k religiously (the joys of free oil from work!)
It's never missed a beat and starts on the button, burns minimal oil,
The bilsteins are unforgiving on our knackered roads but handles exactly as an mx5 should with no untoward knocks or bangs.

Just had a new O/S ARB drop link - this is the only thing in 2 years of ownership what has let go!

In short - I've loved every minute of this car and in all honesty don't really need or want to let it go but I've just bought myself an astra van to run to work in and thought i'd see what is out there for swaps!

This will make an ideal track car / fast road project. IT IS NOT something to polish on a saturday afternoon and take out for a sunday morning jaunt!

Car is Insured/taxed and I am more than willing to take someone out on a decent test drive.

This is a genuine car and i am NOT looking to swap for a vauxhall vectra that you picked up 2 days ago with bits falling off and the EML flashing like a christmas tree. GENUINE CARS ONLY
