Description:
1991 DAF FA45.130
Hello and welcome to the sale of my beloved motorcycle racing motorhome.
The vehicle is on a ‘H’ reg, meaning it was first registered in 1991. I believe it has a 6BT Cummins Diesel engine that runs like a dream and starts up first time every time no matter how long between running periods.
The motorhome conversion itself has been done very professionally and benefits from; a shower, cassette toilet, full size gas cooker, fridge that runs on electric & gas and two built in double beds.
The garage to the rear n/s of the vehicle has space for all accessories, tool boxes etc. and either one super bike or two motocross bikes.
The previous MOT expired in 2012 and has since not been on the road. For its next MOT, sufficient welding is required to the cab. However, the mighty DAF starts, runs and drives A1+. Brakes, clutch, tyres and air are good.
It has been sitting in storage for 6 years so does have slight damp here and there which can be rectified. Small problems like the glue peeling from the ceiling holding the material up needs redoing etc.
All in all, a good project for someone that will have lots of space at the trackside to live comfortably.
I must also note, there is a diesel leak from the vehicle when it is running. I believe this may be a split in a fuel line after the fuel pump. This doesn’t effect how it runs but does waste fuel.
The motorhome benefits from being down-plated, therefore only requires a category B (standard car license) to be driven, and can be MOT’d under a Cat 4.
Please do not hesitate to ask any questions and I will answer them as best as I can.
Thanks for looking,
Jack.
