Description:
I own since 2017 a Japanese import silver Mazda Roadster RS-limited Mk2.5. It is a 2001 model and was imported in 2008 and still today in excellent condition. The RS version is a Japanese only with Mazda factory modifications in the engine with a bit more power and a 6-speed gearbox.
It's my second car, used mainly for weekends and fun rides, so I have done very few miles since I bought it.
So, it has only 107000 Kms on the clock (about 67k miles) and has been maintained in high standards, especially after I bought it, with receipts available.
On top of the usual servicing, with a big service last year including cambelt, the other thing I did on it, is because as an import the underbody was in amazing condition with not even the slightest rust, I decided to invest last year into a full underseal done by a specialist, covering even chassis cavities, costing more than 600 pounds.
Bodywork is in excellent condition for its age, ignoring some minor wear and tear after 17 years, like small chips on the front bumper.
Very good condition on the roof as well with no leaking or anything.
Brakes have lots of life on them, as the tyres too, with the wheels being aftermarket Rota 15x8 with 195 wide tyres.
Suspension is a Meister-R adjustable coilover, offering a good compromise between performance and comfort.
New original Mazda/Panasonic battery as well.
As I have owned other MX5s in the past, this one definitely feels younger and less used for its age than any other I ever had.
I was really impressed myself as well back when I bought it, especially after I drove it. Everything feels to me quite robust and unused for the age of car, even things like suspension bushes etc.
In summary it's a car definitely worth considering for someone who is looking for a really clean in great condition MK2.5, truly rust free and maintained to a high standard.
