Description:
Here we have my xt600, I built this early last year and to be honest I don’t get to use it as much as I would like to so regrettably she up for grabs. I’ve probably done around 300 miles since building.
As you can see there’s been loads of changes, I brought the bike totally standard with 15,000 miles and really looked after.
Firstly I stripped the bike fully to bare frame and the subframe was shortened and all brackets and bits that wasn’t needed was removed. The fuel tank is off a dt400 1978 it was then all prepped and spayed with military paint and the insignia was done by hand.
I had a friend make me the seat base and upholster me the seat with a old military cover. The top yoke was made from a solid billet of alloy which I then powder coated, pretty much everything I could powder coat on the bike I have. The frame is satin black and I’ve faded nato green into it for the military look.
Headlight is made out of aluminium and it has stainless billet bulb holders. Every bearing/bolt/washer,seals on the bike are all brand new. Either zinc plated or stainless bolts. Wheels are now both 18inch... I had a 18inch front wheel made for it to give it a better suited look. Both where re spoked with new inner tubes and continental tkc 80 tyres, front tyre is nice and wide and looks awesome.
Both calipers where stripped back to alloy and fully serviced, new custom rear brake fluid pot then coated. HEL braided brake hoses, custom made stainless front pipe 2 into one, I made the rear pipe from a tiger cub exhaust, I removed all internals and added a stainless inch 1/4 Perth. This gives it a real nice noise. It’s loud and definitely turns heads!
As you can see both side casing are engraved by scorpion engraving down in Kent, the quality is top notch and it’s hard to show in pics but you get the idea.
I had a whole new wiring loom made to suit how I wanted it by towzatronics. The lithium battery is sat in a battery box I made under the seat. This is where the stainless light switch is and horn, also there’s the key ignition start. That’s it there’s no switches on handle bars at all. Just a garmin gps speedo, again very minimal look, no wires etc.
The carb was fully serviced and I fitted twin air filters, one either side of the bike which look like turbines off a plane. As some of you will know I based the bike on the Lancaster bomber ww2 theme.
The bike itself is faultless! Basically a brand new bike and best of all one of a kind! It has 8mth mot on the bike for the new owner. Swap or buy with confidence, honestly it’s a lovely bike and will be missed. Any questions don’t hesitate to message me. Please don’t ask for price as I haven’t a clue. There isn’t another bike anywhere like it to compare
There is loads more I’ve done to the bike but My fingers are aching hahaha
