Description:
Hi and welcome to my listing for my
1994 BMW E36 CONVERTIBLE
It has the 2 litre 6 cylinder 24v engine which has covered approximately 150K miles with a fully stamped service book
I chose this variant of engine as i only wanted the car for posing and not for performance. I believe this engine has approximately 150bhp as standard and even by today's standards it still pulls very well, i have never thrashed or abused this car as its just not that type of car!
There is a Stack of history, Invoices and MOTs.
Its HPI CLEAR
I have owned this car for 10 years and have covered less than 10K since ownership. Over the years i have put alot of time into this car.
I remember going to a car meet around 12 years ago and there was 2 E36 Convertibles there and they stood out from all the other cars. I told myself i'll be having one of those!
When i purchased this car - it was in standard form, i personally have made it look the way it does by adding the following parts:
M3 Front Bumper
M3 Rear Bumper
M3 Electric Wing Mirrors
M3 Full Black Leather Interior including Door Cards
M3 Interior Chrome Door Handles
M3 Door Sill Covers
M3 Outer Body Trim
M3 Chrome Gear Knob
M3 Black Airbag Dash
M3 Engine Cover & Cover Caps (Imported from America)
M3 Oil Cap (Imported from America)
M3 Slatted Slam Panel Cover
M3 Top Mount Covers
M3 Instrument Cluster / Clocks with Chrome Rings
(If you do a reg check there will be a mileage discrepancy due to the Clocks swap but its is written in the service book and is stamped by a BMW specialist)
M3 Staggered Wheels / Style 24 Wider Rears
Other Modifications Include:
Plenum Hose Kit
Gloss Black Kidney Grills
Smoked Front Fog Lights
Smoked Side Wing Repeaters
Smoked Rear Lights
Clear Front Indicators - I think the original frosted ones but smoked would look loads better.
K&N Induction Kit
Powerflow Backbox
Front and Rear Adjustable Coilovers Suspension (comes with spanners)
10mm Front Wheel Spacers
Heat Wrapped Manifold
Snap off Steering wheel which detaches from the column (best anti theft device)
The Front Bumper has the Short front Number-plate recess (Imported from America) which has BMW embossed on it, my plan was going to put the number-plate on the side of the front bumper to give the large open front end.
It has the front brakes off a 2000 E46 330D they were a direct replacement / bolt straight on for the old ones they are actually bigger then the E36 M3 variation! In order to make them work properly i had the E36 M3 3.0 Brake Master Cylinder fitted the calipers quite big are about a small fingers widths off the inside of the wheel rim top and bottom. the stopping power is much improved due to this modification.
Drivers side caliper recently started sticking.
The engine fires up first turn of the key, runs smoothly and does not overheat.
Its has a Sony Head-unit
Sony IR Stalk Remote
Front and Rear Sony Speakers
Sony CD Changer in Boot
I've ran a set of audio leads plus a remote lead to the boot as my plan was to run a small sub in the centre rear seat arm rest hole (Ski Hatch)
as the standard car audio speakers were naff!
It comes with the Hard Top Cover which has the Release Handle Covers.
The Soft Top is in good shape with NO rips or holes, rear window is clear not much scratching to it that i can see just a little nic either side about half way down, the roof is semi auto which means you have to unlock it by hand then press the button, the motor runs super quite and efficiently.
All E36's will need money spending on them and work doing to them but i suppose that is the part and parcel of owning a classic car.
The front seal on the hood could do with renewing as is perished slightly an will dribble afew spots of water inside, A thin line of silicone may prevent this from happening but never bothered me as its always keep under a cover
The body requires attention, the front arches and Rear panel have rust on them (common problem) i purchased a Brand new rear panel from BMW and 2 aftermarket front wings they just need fitting and painting. There is afew dings and stone chips but don't get me wrong It gets loads of attention and complements but bare in mind this car is over 25 years old. As you can see from the pictures which are all recent 03-07-19 its still not that bad,
I purchased a secondhand drivers door as the old one had a scab at the bottom (i still have the old one), i stripped the old door to get the door lock out an put it in the newly acquired door, then i realised the loom was different as it was from the face-lift version so i managed to get it together so i could have the window up and close the door, the car had been sat for a while and i thought i would take some pictures to list it on here so i tried to put the window down an it jumped off the runner so the drivers side front window is stuck up at the moment, its a time consuming job to take these doors apart, my plan was to just get another door.
Comes with Private Plate M7 ECN Stands for MTECN which is an abbreviation of the term M-Technik.
BMW M-Technik, M-Tech "M" (for Motorsport) was initially created to facilitate BMW’s racing program, which was very successful in the 1960s and 1970s. As time passed, BMW M began to supplement BMW's vehicles portfolio with specially modified higher trim models, for which they are now most known by the general public. These M-badged cars traditionally include modified engines, transmissions, suspensions, interior trims, aerodynamics, and exterior modifications to set them apart from their counterpart.
The car is currently Sorn and has NO MOT. There will be NO Test Drives on the public road, but a quick drive on my land will be ok.
I've had many of cars while in ownership of this car and i could never bring myself to sell it. i currently have a other projects and this ain't getting the love it deserves.
There's probably loads i've missed, Serious enquires only! Any questions drop me a message,
Please Note: This car wont be going for a song, i know what its worth in parts.... But its to good to break so I might end up throwing money at it and end up keeping it.
