Toyota Shasta Campervan - 4 berth
Location: Greater London - London
Swap Value: £5.000+
Description:
1986 Toyota Shasta - 63000 miles on the clock.
2.1 litre engine, Petrol. Left hand drive, automatic. MOT until 22 May 2020
Toya (as we call her) starts first time - every time.
We gave her a full service less than a year ago, new sparks, new plugs, new shoes, new rods, new breaks, break oil and oil changes, new tires, new distribution cap, new belts, the lot really.
Can be driven on a normal car licence as she's under 3.5 tonnes.
Toya has a fully working gas/electric fridge, 4 ring cooker and oven, electric water pump for shower and sink also works fine as well, inside there is plenty of storage, a double bed over the cab and a further double as the sofa folds out flat as a bed. There are 2 swivel captains seats and a movable small table. There are 7 seat belted seats available for travel in total. 3 on the sofa, 2 in the front and the 2 captains chairs also.
She also has a gas hot water heater as well as an air conditioning unit however we haven't tested these.
We have also added 300 watts of solar panels on the top, connected to 2 x 110 amp hour leisure batteries. We have also installed a projector and screen for cosy nights in.
It has city water hook up connection, as well as US power hook up, which I understand can be converted to UK with a step down transformer, it also has the leads and connection for UK hook up, if you can't be bothered with getting a transformer.
We recently put a new rubber roof coating applied which gives the roof 10 years leak free. Previous repair work had obviously been done, before we purchased her and we wanted to make sure with her age that she was water tight and we weren't having to deal with rot and damp issues. After fixing this, she has been water tight.
She has a leather cover for the front windows as well as a full awning on the side with front and side panels and skirting along the inside. Small amount of repair on the top (expected considering her age) but front and side panels all look like new! This makes a massive outdoor, indoor space and has been a huge bonus for us.
We are only selling Toya as we are looking for a bigger vehicle, we have travelled up and down the UK since buying her and getting her on the road. Reliable, lovely vehicle that we will be sorry to sell, looking for someone who will love her as much as we have and do.
