2001 BMW X5 with 161328 miles on the clock.
I bought this car a year ago for my partner to take my kids to nursery, classes and general journeys. I now have no need to use my company car due to relocating work closer to home, so my partner will now use this and I am looking to get a hot hatch or a project.
When I got this, it needed a little bit of TLC. Below is everything I done to the car to ensure it was safe to take my kids around. So you will have piece of mind buying this car.
Replaced the drivers side CV Joint & boot
Replaced the drivers side wheel bearing
Replaced 3x front arms (other one was pretty new)
Replaced lambda sensor due to lacking power
Replaced driver side pad sensor
I've just recently put the car through a full vehicle health check where I only needed to replace a tyre before the MOT so this has been done.
Full years MOT put on the car. Passed 10th February 2020
All 4 tyres in good condition with plenty of tread left.
Front and rear pads and discs are on good condition with plenty meat on the pads. All 4 calipers operating fine as these were individually tested on the rolling road.
The car is an automatic and pulls very well through all the gears.
Bodywork is in general good condition, few small age related marks with a couple of bubbles on the tailgate area (common problem).
20 inch claw alloys on the car. Could do with a refurb if you want them perfect as there are marks on them but this has never bothered me.
There are a couple of points to mention that I haven't sorted out. The two front windows work fine but the motor is slow on them and takes a while to go back up. Could just do with lubing the regulator runners but its never bothered me or my partner.
Self leveling suspension sign comes on the dash. The rear suspension airbags are level and up in the driving position so no issues with this.
It could do with the front wheels being balanced. The balancer in my work isn't accurate but has been balanced well enough.
Other than this the car is brilliant.
Additional things to mention is the car has a DVD player in the back which is great for the kids.
It has a front coloured screen with sat nav but no disc so unsure how it works.
Electric seats all working as they should.
It also has a spare wheel in the back with an factory add on pull out boot floor.
Also has the original mobile phone that came in the car brand new in 2001.
I have more photos of the car that I can't load due to posting the max amount on the advert already.
Any questions please feel free to contact me.
I can't always take a call in work so drop a text or email and I can call you when I'm free to discuss anything.
I am fine with people coming to view and test drive but please ensure you are insured to do so.
May consider a swap for Focus ST, Renault Mégane 225, Corsa VXR or Astra VXR. Something fun.
