1998 BMW Z3 1.9 Orinoco Edition

Bought as an unfinished project car in pieces and panels. Now put back together with 98% bmw parts, including nuts and bolts.

MOT expired June 2021, after putting it back together and a good servicing, all rust spots like sills were taken off, repaired, treated for further prevention, repainted and refitted to the car.

It has a stainless steel cat back exhaust that sounds pretty gritty, and great sound, not poppy and bang just a good full sound. Fitted last January from what I know.

Changed the airfilter to K&N panel filter, still have box and all warranty, not even been used in the z3 yet. Also have spare service parts, fuel filter, air filter and oil filter. Ready for it next service. Better to always be a service in front when looking after the more vintage motor.

Also new canvass softop fitted less than 10 months ago. Good seals all round, left it out in rain and snow, no leaks to take note of. Fully functioning motorised roof!! Motor reconditioned last year before a replacement soft top.

Replaced the battery before MOT this month, the old one had gone and wouldn't recharge.

So the great news, brand new MOT on a very well looked after 1998 BMW Z3, NO ADVISORIES.
My Mazda 6 which is up for sale also passed with no advisories at the start of month.

2 cars in 2 weeks with 2 fresh 12 month MOTS with 0 Advisories. I do pride myself in getting cars to a better standard than I buy them I'm.

Color is Boston Green, Orinoco Edition.
Which means it has the very rare, Big and Green Letter seats.

After Market Kenwood Stereo with USB and Bluetooth and cd player, after market speakers fitted behind seats.

So the not the best bits. It's 23 years old. Has 167000 miles, but anybody that knows these engines know they have much more life in them with good maintenence and regular servicing.
It has a number of stone chips on the front of the bonnet and front bumper, not been resprayed.

The replacement wing mirrors which just cost me £120 each and replacement side gills that were £80 with badges, are in silver, I was going to leave them silver and look and styling silver into where the stone chips are, because if I keep it, I'd get them sorted and finish restoring it.

It does look like it had a bonnet bra on at one point, (I guess to hide more than prevent some stone chips) and has been left on in the sun, openly honest there is a slight color difference where the bonnet bra had been, that's how I know what caused it.

Everything else is how you'd expect, remarkable interior for its age, no cracks or rips on the interior, all tools in boot and under car spare wheel intact and good condition.
Currently fitted with some wide rear Michelin tyres and 2 more narrow tires at front.

Fun to drive, it's a 90s car before they took the feeling of driving away with all the power steering and stability management systems. It has BMW basic traction control switch, but to be honest, pretend it doesn't... ;) Better without it.

Given its a beautiful summer fun fest of a car that sounds great and polishes up well, investing in good servicing and care is a given and must.

Full V5C recently received and ready, full 12 month MOT, recently very well serviced and will be some miles before the built in service indicator bring it to attention. Its currently 1 bar from freshly done.

168000 miles, Boston Green, Black Top, Beige & Green leather seats, 4 cylinder 1.9 prefacelift classic Z3 with its raw roadster vibe its was always ment to have.

I'm going to have to ask £1500 or very nearest offer.

No Advisories 12 Month MOT, comes with fitted car cover, original manual and documents, part history, and also the Haines manual featuring Z3, some clips, bits, screws and bolts I have left from the recent completion of a great, very enjoyed, much loved project.

Time for someone out there to grab a bargain Z3, again 1998 classic, that are constantly going up in price.
