Welcome to the sale of my beautifully restored 1989 MK:2 Golf, this golf started life as a standard white CL, the car spent most of its life in Spain (previously registered overseas) and so the shell is free from any corrosion or former welding, and was cherry picked to do this restoration because the shell was in such good condition.

You are looking at a Nut and Bolt full restoration here, this is not just something thrown together by an 18 year old on the driveway, many years of time, lots of money and patience, have gone into making this car what it is today.

The car was totally stripped down to a bare shell and send off for sandblasting back to bare metal, the car was then Resprayed in Nardo Grey, literally the whole shell was sprayed inside and out including the engine bay, at a cost of £6000 alone!! Wherever you look on this car you only see exceptionally beautiful paintwork with no signs of the former colour. It has been done to the highest of standards both inside and out.

This is a “Numbers Matching” car - with the original engine, that has been fully rebuilt from the ground up, piston rings, all gaskets including Headgasket have all been done, brand new coolant bottles under the bonnet, EVERYTHING under the bonnet looks brand new, you could literally eat your dinner under there it’s that clean, brand new subframe, Reconditioned GTI gearbox for longer 5th ratio. All the glass on this car is original (again numbers matching) no former theft damage with broken glass etc.

The interior is absolutely spotless, original CL seats unmarked never been smoked in, no burns tears or excess wear, the roof lining has been custom replaced along with the sun visors (please see pictures)

Your looking at a “SHOW READY” built MK:2 here that will definitely win some trophies when taken to some shows. I can NOT find another MK:2 Golf for sale on the internet that is to this standard of restoration, the amount of compliments and attention the car gets when out on the road and at petrol stations is simply unreal, people from All walks of life can’t help but compliment the car.
