Buell S1 lightning

1998 Buell s1 lightening, I have tons of paperwork and know all the owners, Thunderstorm heads, full crane cams ignition, bespoke HT leads from the US to suit.

Mikuni HSR42 carb all correctly setup this was ultrasonically cleaned and overhauled with a genuine Mikuni service kit. Forcewinder air cleaner with dry bag.

The bike was totally stripped frame was media blasted and had the additional left hand brace welded in. this was a revision on the later Buells and came factory. Zinc coated and re powdercoated in satin black. All the brackets were done at the same time. All new engine tie bars and counts using genuine HD components. The Engine has been stripped and crank end float checked, upgraded lucky hands oil pump drive gear, cams, gearbox etc all checked. Fully rebuilt using HD and cometic stainless top end gaskets. Hand painted by me using no longer available Harley texture black and bead blast silver looks great. Cut down cam cover and oil line re-route.…. I have some other pictures from during the refurb that took 6 months.

Wheels stripped and powder coated satin black, new valves, new Bridgestone T32 tires (Around 200 miles). Swing arm media blasted and coated texture black all new bearings and seals. New bearings throughout, Wheels, headstock etc new engine mounts HD genuine. Black stainless steel fixings throughout. Spondon Billet hand made Yolks (Still has working steering lock - £550. Front engine mount also Spondon Billet hand made £175, new genuine later frame isolators. Fairings all repainted in Range Rover Santorini black, Range Rover, this has a nice sparkle in the sun.

Holtwork's aluminum tank all new fuel cap/ tap. The tank was hand made and took 40 weeks costing £1400 with new genuine Buell gas cap and all seals. AST shock £1200 direct from AST, all custom black anodising .Original seat all re foamed and reupholstered costing £350. Metmachex Engineering hand made oil tank Aluminium, all new lines and stainless step less clips.

Showa front fork conversion all anodised in black with anodised red detail, stanchions refurbished by Dynasurf, all new bushes, guides and seals, Genuine Showa components with HD heavy duty oils - Circa £550. New EBC front disc £175 (Buell No longer available. Buell front caliper refurbished anodised in black with Stainless fixings again genuine NOS seals and pistons (6 Pot) Buell pro are replica headers 2.5" APH engineering, pro race Pipewerkz muffler £1000. All new hardware. Hidden rear Brembo rear caliper, updated braided brake lines, LSL footrests, LSL gear and rear brake sets £300 I have back ones to match but not on the bike, Kellerman LED indicators and rear LED smoked brake tail light. LSL adjustable clutch and brake levers. New Lithium Noco light weight battery £140.
