Austin maestro *swaps*

Up for sale or possible swap is my 1985 austin maestro 1.3HL

Being the HL model it has the digital cassette player and digital clock. The radio all works although I've replaced the speakers with Sony speakers as the old ones were rubbish.

The car has covered 65k genuine miles and drives absolutely spot on with no issues what so ever, the engine is the 1275 A+ series with the SU carb. oil leak from the rocker cover but it's a few quid for a new gasket so I may fix this after the Xmas period if I've still got it. Mot until May 2024. Has a manual choke which all operates as it should

Bodywork isn't the greatest, it isn't the worst wother considering its going on 40 years old. Will be tax and mot exempt in a little over a year. Someone has tried to repair the rear left arch and the paint is flat at thay area aswell as the front right wing and a part of the bootlid but no rust at those areas, the left side doors have a bit of bubbling and the top of the rear left door has some bubbling but all very manageable. Apart from that the paint is doing not bad for its age, the shade is moonraker blue which is a rare colour in itself

Underneath is in amazing condition, under the bonnet is equally as good, has had welding work in the past on the rear inner arches but has been done to a very high standard

I've replaced the 2 front tyres with nankangs, done the wiper blades too and the car has recently had a service.

The only issue I can find with it is the heating matrix has been bypassed at some point so no hot air inside although the fans etc do all work, stick a matrix in and literally everything on the car will work. Full v5c in my name is present

Would swap for an old vauxhall. Cavalier, corsa B, astra mk3 etc but would possiboy take something else. What you got to offer? Any questions gimme a message
