Iveco 40-10.. 1991. Camper hybrid.
Location: West Midlands - Nuneaton
Swap Value: 1 penny
Description:
I have owned this fantastic vehicle for over 15 years and have kept it waxoyled and well maintained for all that time. I don't think it has ever failed an MOT in my ownership.
Being an ex-social-services vehicle, the engine had seen better days so I swapped it for a low mileage motor from a motor home....must be seven or eight years ago since the work was done...I think the engine might be 2.8 litre because it pulls much better than the 2.5 litre ever did .
I changed the gearbox too..that came out of the same motor home.
Last year I painted the vehicle...with a brush and a Lot of good quality coach paint...as you can see, despite being a brush job it isn't half bad.
Clutch..alternator...starter etc reconditioned when I did the motor.
Inside is simple but in sound condition..there is a single bed and a loo compartment..and a cooking area..plus enough space to collect and deliver motorcycles .
Chassis etc is in superb condition..thanks to repeated waxoyl applications.
This is a rare..especially in this condition..vehicle. Its a Classic now and really useful to-boot. What's not to like ?
There is a huge file of history to go with the vehicle...if it goes..much of which relates to it's London career as a community transport vehicle.
To be more precise... Waltham Cross..
All sensible suggestions will be considered but please be aware that I will not be giving it away.
