Paint is kinda a mess, bonnet especially, 100 for decent one if you look, propshaft missing, but propshaft being delivered Monday.
195K, needs Tlc, a Propshaft, but no fault codes, currently fwd but drives as a mk5 Fwd should, remap with Rtech by previous owner and I've not had it long. 192k, 5 owners, 1st was standard man, new golf, 2nd put pride and joy into it, almost a full r32 interior trasfer most underated is the black headliner from the r32, eletric heated/bolstered seats. R logo in the headrests, unsure if custom or a R line VW line has others apart from the standard GTI embossed tartan cloth examples.
Lumbar adjustment is nice but they aren't going to beat a e60 seat , does have GPS antenna wired in as it had a RNS510 unit in it, I've fitted a Pioneer single din with bluetooth, satnav was circa 06, awful.
Gti bumper conversion was done not by getting a rad, front slam panel, bumper was trimmed to fit so it a bottlejob. Which is when the r32 bumper/exhaust conversion was made, this must of been after propshaft either spun a bearing centre or either end and it was sort of left. New owner bought it, did a gti budget swap, even the fog light housing/grill was there, I've got proper blanks at this point. The r32 rear conversion meant he took the OE bumper off that had parking sensors, left the module and wires, so that can be retrofitted if you want it. However exhaust was made shoddily so sounds pretty damn good but a propshaft reinstall might mean a new exhaust. Currently being delivered to test.
Last 4k miles/8 months of ownership.
discs, pads, hoses/lines, fluid, all 4 corners are OE size BREMBO brand. Fluid flush DOT4 3l

To be honest a great car, good for parts or to rebuild, but I've bought the shadow blue gti mk5 so 4motion no longer is in my mind. Would keep it but there's 3 in the family so has to be let go.
Precheck Mot fail for suspension bolt missing and bubbly sills meant 380 was spent on welding clean up and suspension bolt replacement. Pass after a week. Visible but Gti sideskirts for 100ish on ebay or Facebook will do all the hiding.
More tech stuff,
No cruise control, midline cluster so no chance for buttons, single area climate control no dual here, centre console does have a armrest and storage which is different to my poverty spec 1.9 same year. Auto lights, No sunroof, pd 140 so BKD non pdf, so non of those issues, 312 calipers+Carriers can be included as then you can go from 288 discs to 312 and rebuild new calipers, repaint them and all.
