Description:
Here I have for swaps my Silver 2003 Audi TT Quattro Roadster. It’s the 1.8 turbo and produces a fairly grunty 180 bhp. Three previous owners and fast becoming a modern classic.
Short version: Long mot (December 24) Low milage (86k) Cam belt, water pump and power steering pipes just changed (have paperwork for this) Electric roof doesn't work, but can be operated manually.
Will swap ideally for an estate of similar milage, preferably a diesel, but open to almost anything!
I’ve had it for a few months and picked it up as a project to do some work on and wasn’t sure whether I would keep it or not. It has since had said work done and unfortunately I am not in the financial position to keep it for any longer, as much as I would love to until spring/summer it’s just not feasible!
It has extremely low milage for a MK1 at 85,610 and is MOT’d until 26/12/2024 and comes with two original sets of keys. The week before Christmas it had some work done to it which included a cam belt , water pump and pulley/tensioner replacement, new power steering pipes on both high and low pressure sides and a new brake calliper. It has partial service history, most of which is in the last five years but some dates back to its original services with Audi.
The paintwork and bodywork is in good condition and there is almost no rust, the small amount there is can be seen in the photos. The roof itself is also in good condition. As is common with these convertibles when I bought the car the rear window was coming slightly away from the canvas, this has since been sealed and reattached is completely watertight. The two drain ports which commonly clog behind the drivers and passengers seats have also been cleaned out fully. The interior is in good condition for a car of its age with ivory leather seats. All of the comfort features such as the heated seats and climate control work, as does the rear demister.
It has the common cosmetic imperfections of a car of its age. There are some chips in the paint work on the passenger side door, this is shown in the pictures. The roof looks a little aged but is nothing that cant be revitalised with some canvas roof dye/a good scrub. The leather interior is a little tired but there are no rips or tears.
There are a few small issues with it, the roof does lower and raise as it should but has to be operated manually. The small secure compartment between the seats has over the years lost its clip to shut. It can still be locked to keep personal items secure when the roof is down but will open of its own accord if unlocked. The drivers display has also become pixelated and unreadable , another very common issue with these vehicles and neither expensive or essential to fix.
Overall for an older sports car it's in great shape, both mechanically and aesthetically, I'm sad to let it go!
