Testing the water ti see wears about. Had this car a while now and it’s been a decent car. Prior to me it was owned by a family friend who had always took it to Vauxhall for services and work. Prior to him it was owned by a Vauxhall fanatic who also looked after it well. It’s had everything it’s needed and all round it’s clean for its age. It’s got Genuine Astra VXR Recaro seats front and back with the VXR steering wheel. Bodywork has some age related marks and if your fussy the back bumper needs painting as the paints cracking.

Since owning it Iv added front pads and disks as well as a new wheel bearing. It had an EGR fault and lost its power but I cleaned this out and it was fine, it’s developed the EGR fault again and is lost a small amount of power. Simply needs blanking off and mapping out, no dreaded swirl flap issues on this engine. Engine has a leak from sump but kept topping up, fly wheel has a little rattle below 1000rpm after this you can hear or feel anything and clutch is fine, pass front wheel has a slight buckle can’t feel it much. Slow at starting at times. With the mileage I was either going to just replace the engine for the standard 120 one as they are really cheap and there’s plenty of low mileage ones or upgrade it to the 150 and get some more power out both are not that expensive to do. Car stops and drives fine. Only brings fault code up on pedal test too. MOT is out but would get through another with wheel sorted. Wheels need a refurb.
