Triumph Acclaim HLS 1984
Location: Yorkshire and the Humber - Upton
Swap Value: £2.000+
Description:
Good bits:
- Runs and drives like a dream! It's been my daily driver (20-30 miles most days)
- Always started first time.
- Has 104,000 on the clock but had a lower mileage engine (~70,000 miles) about 1,500 miles ago.
- 2 new front tyres put on yesterday
- Unique Acclaim, has newer lowered suspension (could be a bad bit depending on your taste)
- Will be MOT & Tax exempt April '25 (would have register with post office)
- VO5 logbook
- Extensive history
- Last MOT Jan '24
- Solid underneath
- Beautiful brown interior (proper 80s)
- Back window heater still working!!!
- Cassette player still works
- Currently running at 30mpg last time I checked, close to factory guide!
Bad bits:
- Engine knocking, suspected big end bearing wear
- Does blow a little blue smoke on start up and like all old cars does burn a bit of oil dependent on how you drive it. I usually check my oil and spark plugs once a week.
- Whilst the paintwork is good, there are a couple of spots where it could do with a respray but nothing major.
- Back two tyres could do with being replaced soonish.
- The driver footwell mat is ripped.
- Vacuum system has been capped off but hasn't effected performance.
- Drivers wing mirror mechanism broken
