MERCEDES VITO LWB CDi
Location: East Midlands - Bilsthorpe
Swap Value: 1 penny
Description:
Here is my Mercedes Vito Traveliner LWB van on a 56 reg.
Ideal vehicle to turn into a day van/camper etc, with it being the Long Wheel Based model.
V5 in my name and present, had the van a few weeks now but a change of plan means it is not required any more, it is very solid, I have had all the panels out in the rear to check for anything and it is in vgc.
I had a few vans to choose from prior to picking this one, but due to unforseen circumstances I have to change direction with a project I was planning, I would be keeping the van if it was not for the issue I have which makes me have to sell or swap....
Tow bar with twin electrics, 6 seats, rear set of seats are removable to make more space if required, I have had 2 x motorcycles in the rear and it still pulls great.
It has an MOT until March 2025, Mercedes AMG alloy wheels fitted, 6 speed manual twin side loading doors, pas, elec windows, remote central locking, 208k but previous owner said he replaced the engine with a lower mileage engine with a more powerful 115 bhp lump.
I have no reason not to believe him, he was a genuine guy who ran his own recovery firm and he used the van for collecting his passengers who had broken down.
I have removed the vinyl lettering which was his company name from the van the best I could, but you can sometimes see the odd outline in various places, it would benefit from a good going over with a machine polisher but I don't have one so have just done my best by hand..
The white stripes at the bottom of the doors are stickers, so can be removed if needed, the paint work is Kawasaki green and grey contrast.
I will get better pics when the weather picks up, as the ones now are before I got all the stickers off properly so it actually looks better now...
Could easily be turned into a camper/weekend van for biking/motocross/fishing etc with it being the LWB version.
It has chrome side steps fitted, roof bars.
Recently had:
New turbo, you can see it is new when you look in the engine bay, also new alternator, again can be seen clearly a new unit.
New rear disc's and pads, 2 x front lower suspension arms, uprated rear coil springs, 2 x recent tyres, had a pair of new headlights, so no nasty plastic fading on the lenses.
I look after any vehicle I have and I have given this van a good going over to ensure reliability and I have noticed It will need the rear driveshafts replacing at sometime to suit, as the rubbers have split, does not affect the drive of it as I am using it daily.
Rather than just changing the rubber boots on the driveshafts (as most people would do) I would rather put new driveshafts in just for peace of mind.
I have purchased 2 BRAND NEW driveshafts already, so they can go with the van for the new owner.
I have had a change of plans with the way I was going on a project, that is why the van is available now. Couple of bits of trim missing, I have some of them but just not all of them, (missing bits are a small bit on the side and a bit on one of the roof bars).
All in all, it's a very versatile and useable vehicle, especially with the removable rear set of seats, currently the seats are not fitted but obviously I have them and they will of course go with the van.
Any ? just get in touch.
Will combine all my swaps it need be, so please see my other items.
