Location: Wales - Castle Caereinion
Swap Value: £5.000+
Model:
Vauxhall Astra
Year:
1988

133,000 miles

Description:
Mk2 astra gte 16v redtop.
NEEDS NO WELDING!
Was built for a rally car a few years back so interior is fully stripped with omp dash dodger roll cage including door bars & Poly windows all round.
It used ot have a half dash with gauges everywhere but the half dash has now been removed & full oem black dash put back in place but a few wires need tidying up and dash parts putting back in place. Ie, glove box, switches, digi dash and surround, centre console etc etc.
I do have spare panels with proper glass, and a full black interior (minus passanger seat)
That could be sold separately that I've just removed from a 3rd gte I owned that was rotten. These are NOT included in the sale but may let them go in a seperate negotiation.
Bonnet is quick release and mounts on 4x bonnet pins, as is the front bumper.
Braided fuel lines run inside the car, the brake lines have been removed to run those inside the car too so will need some lines making up and fitting.
The cold start and any un needed bits were chopped off the loom when built into a rally car (never actually used as a rally car) including the parts of the dash loom for gauges etc.
The dash loom has been replaced and spliced back into the original loom but I will also include a FULL original uncut loom front to back with the sale if wanted.
Engine does run although lumpy when cold due to the cold start removal but fitting the new loom would sort that or you could just cut the cold start plug off the new loom.
Full v5 is present.
Will need to be trailered away obviously. I may be able to help with this.
One thing to be noted... the headlight washer jets on the front bumper are to be removed for my main Original gte which is missing them.
I'll upload better pics this week at some point.
Also available separately are oem alloys in a choice of black or white (no centre caps)
So to clarify..
To be mot ready it needs..
1) dash finishing off
2) seat mounting & harness purchasing
3) brake lines
Good solid car that needs very little work to be usable.
