Audi A4 2007 2.0 diesel (b7 engine)

Her I have my Audi A4, softop in black, I bought as a project and have done many things to this car, front brake pads
Egr clean
Throttle body clean
New battery

It's all works as it should however probably 1 in every 7 or 8 times it will fail to start, it's seems to have a hot start issue but is intermittent, most times it's absolutely fine, I've been to a mechanic and he has advised a lazy starter motor, which is around 70-80 pounds to replace but at this point I have no more time to work on it, roof works perfect drives spot on. I'm looking to get a 125cc motorbike so ideally a swap for that, any offers however are welcome
