Absolutely mint retro Golf gti 24v 1.8 turbo petrol, this car is completely standard apart from being lowered and original bbs wheels from a mk3. I’ve had the car 2 years and it never let me down, drives like a new car.
Bad points
Passenger front and drivers rear have stopped working on the central locking and can’t open them( mechanism has come off inside, common fault)
Sometimes on start up the tensioner makes a noise but this was new 2 years ago when all the belts was changed, just started, only does it when it’s been raining.
This car is mint with no rust or holes as it’s been well looked after, blue and black cloth recaro interior with no rips or tears, door cards could do with a tidy up as the cloth part is starting to peel. Apart from those few bits this car is spot on, drives perfect. I got this car off a mate who is a vw master tech, I’m only swapping as I work away all week and don’t have the time to sort all the little bits out. Any swap considered but no rot boxes and must be valued at £2000 or a bit of cash my way aswell. Mot until July but passed with no advisers so fix the doors and it will pass again no problem. I have full v5 in my name and unfortunately I lost the service history so all I can tell you is while it’s been owned by me and the previous owner everything has been done at vw.
Ideally looking for a van or estate but nothing rubbish as I don’t really want to get rid of this. Will add more photos once I’ve had time to clean it but this picture was taken end of last summer before all the bitty weather started.
