Description:

This is a decent big old girl. Bought it last year as a spares or repair job just to give me something to do. Unfortunately it had been stood with fuel in. So I went through the whole fuel system. It’s running sweet. The tank took some work but it got there. I've ran this for a good few months to iron out the usual things you get when doing this kind of thing. It sprang a leak on that awkward pipe just behind the exhaust, fitted a very nice one off Ebay. Motol oil and both oil filters. For some reason I haven’t changed the air filter!? I’ll try and do it before sold but I’m not promising anything!
I took the carbs off and cleaned them again after a couple of months, just to make sure the tank was properly cleaned out. They went through the ultrasonic again just to make sure.

The front brakes have been completely rebuilt, ultrasonically cleaned and painted. All new seals and some new HH pads, this thing is stopping really well. I didn’t touch the rear caliber as it was working just fine. Changed the clutch fluid
I fitted a new fuel pump and all the petrol pipes. It’s got ZZR1200 carbs that have been rebuilt with tourmax parts. The carbs have a tsp sensor fitted, it doesn’t actually do anything. I took it off but it looked shite so I put it back on.

Twin Delkavic cans fitted, she’s not the quietest of things, she sounds really healthy.
The tyres are good, not a matched pair, it bothers me that but they’re good enough. The rear is a Pirelli Angel with a good 5mm tread. The front is a Michelin Pilot with over 2mm of tread.

It’s had new Brisk LGS plugs. I fit them to all my bikes if I can find them. They’re lovely things and they last forever! Ive had well over 35k on my XJR1300. Google'em if you don’t know’em.
There’s a 4° ignition advancer to go on it, I just can’t be arsed taking the fairing off to fit it.

Its had a Motacc top yoke conversion with genuine Renthal bars. I can’t tell you how much this improves the thing, really comfy on long rides. The standard bars and some risers are included if you want them.

There is some sun damage on the fairing. I like it, adds a bit of character, but I see how it could put some people off. New tinted screen. The front mudguard is off a ZZR1200 that’s been made to fit, got a front half of a standard mudguard, just waiting for a rear half to show up on Ebay. But to be honest I’m not to bothered by it so Ive not been looking that hard. The seats in good nick. There's a dent in the tank. I cleaned it and bought the wrong colour paint to cover it. It doesn't bother me as it's physically sound. I had to source a lid for the fairing so there's another key for that. I've never used it for anything. Apart from the sun damage the fairings are in fair condition for the age. How the hell has sun damage happened in this country!?
There's a GIVI rack fitted as well.
The bike is a nice long legged thing, a practical and fun commuter.

I'm on a mission to own a few bikes before I hang up my leathers. The Honda Blackbird the busa and a Thunderace. I can't keep them all so I have to move them on. That's the reason for sale. Plus I'm currently building a big bore, 1380cc, XJR and need some room, and money
