2005 Bmw r1200rt tourer

Description:

Soft suspension, quite comfortable for long distance touring. not the lightest to reverse in the garage though (these bikes really need a reverse gear)

Done 65000 miles which is quite low for these tourers. I put around 300/week and more now it’s summer. Perfect bike for winter if you need wind protection and heated grips

I have added auxiliary mirrors as the inbuilt mirrors take time getting used to

Linked abs brakes which I got used to quickly, but depends on everyone’s preferences

Quite heavy bike if static. Lightweight when riding though. i cant get it on the center stand.

Once riding you dont feel the weight. Did a non stop trip in march 2025 from leeds to bangor 150 miles. Seating position is very comfy for long distances.

Bad bit - fuel strip doesn’t works, quite common if you google “bmw rt fuel strip issue” so I use the trip meter instead . No sense in replacing as they fail again.

Open to all swaps. we always have something that the other might find useful, I won’t get offended
