Very early Bowler Tomcat 88” Comp Safari racer…. Road registered! Tax and MOT exempt due to historic status. Rover 3.9 V8, Webber 500CFM carb on Edelbrock inlet manifold. 4-2-1 tubular exhaust manifolds. Coil sprung running twin shocks at the rear , polybushes fitted, power steering, Range Rover axles/diffs with disc brakes all round. Aluminium fuel cell. 5 speed gearbox with Ashcroft adapter plate to run Ashcroft series 3 transfer box…. Selectable 4x4 —-rear wheel drive fun! Internal/external roll cage, bucket seats.
Lots of work completed to recomission. New fuel lines,
Aluminium radiator, new water pump, thermostat, hoses etc. full engine service. New radiator fan with digital controller. Have a set of alloys with almost new Kumho mud terrains to fit. New clutch hose and cylinders. Runs and drives but still needs a little work to finish. I’m happy to keep plodding on with it but I’d really prefer a more sedate Series 2a / 3 , old Land Cruiser or something like that. This is a properly built machine and very rare.
