Malta or Gozo winter rent wanted from October to March

Hi
I want a flat/house/apartment to rent every year (for years and years) from October to March (but not over Christmas) for me and the wife (mid to late fifties) so we can visit family who live in Gozo. We are happy to be on either island, in the UK we have a building / landscape company which we have taken early retirement, so we are happy to do some work on the property, i.e. decorate at the end of our stay ready for holiday letting but we are not after a free-be and will pay reasonable rent. Will swop our French house for some or part of the rent.
